71. Fitbit V2

This project was currently under repair, but it was the device used for the elderly on assisting their mental memory as well as their physical form. The way it is supposed to work is that as the elderly user wears it, the device will display the information on the OLED screen, and sets up goals for the elderly such as making sure they have sufficient exercise. To make the user change the settings, they can interact with the program using the 5 buttons-each utilized for controlling certain features of the device.

The main feature of the device is that it has Bluetooth functionality implanted. This is important because it allows you to link your device to any other device with the same Bluetooth connectivity. With that, it will allow the data to be sent to the other connected device, and so the receiving end will collect the data, and processes it to show the entire results clearly. With that, the user will be able to check up on how they did their goals, or whatever they missed.

The device casing was made using a 3-d printer with PLA material. There, the casing was first designed using the Solidworks software, and then the Cura software to make the SW file into a Gcode file. Once it was done, the print will start to print the casing for some time.

Once it was don't printing the entire chassis, we have done a test fit to see if all the sufficient components fit in so that it won't come off easily.
For the electronic components, we used an Arduino Uno as the brains of the device as well as the protoboard, which job is to house all the components on the Arduino. for the components, we got the mentioned Bluetooth module and the button setup.

We have also included a vibration motor so that it gives the user new feedback in case the user wants to take a break from the device. Last but not least, we have also utilized the IR transmitter/receiver so that the device will detect your own heartbeat.
As mentioned above, the device is still under repair, but it was still an interesting concept made solely for older users.
